Fluocinonide as active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) is a potent corticosteroid or steroid, class of glucocorticoid, used topically as anti-inflammatory agent for the treatment of skin disorders such as eczema. Fluocinonide API works by reducing the inflammation, it relieves itching, redness, dryness, crusting, scaling, and discomfort. Fluocinonide comes as a cream, gel, ointment,and solution. Fluocinonide is also available as a medicine combined with an antibiotic and an antifungal.
